Minutes of Last School Council Meeting (16th June, 2008)

Attendance: Peter Carre (President),  Gai Collett, Cheryl Donaldson, Michelle Gardiner, Rob Lellmann, Susan Metcalf , Jillian Skinner, Owen Taylor.

3.  Welcome to new member—Cheryl Donaldson
4. Minutes of previous meeting - approved
5. Principal’s report

• Neutral Bay Parking Regulations change
• Death of resident in 8 Bydown Street
• New Building-completion expected in July
• Annual audit of school finances—checked remotely and finished with visit
• Demographic study of enrolment projections and change to school boundaries
• Personnel matters include teachers taking leave and return of Sally Haigh
• New Programs/initiatives/events
• Connected classrooms—Mr Taylor
• Values Program—Mr. Taylor
• PSSA Sport & Knockout comps—Mr. Taylor
• Bush cabaret—a success
• Dance—Boys Dance, senior Girls Dance Group, Schools Spectacular
• Bands—Mrs. Collett described the competition and success (3rd place)
• Director General of the DET will visit NBPS on 26 June
• SDD—T2 Combined schools Conference with Dr. Christine Richmond
