Parent-School Partnerships
Parent Associations
School Council
The School Council comprises three staff representatives, three parent representatives,
a P&C appointed representative and the principal who is the executive member.
Its charter is to collaborate with parents and staff in the formulation of policy
direction for the school.
The School Council does not make decisions on short term, daily management
issues. Rather, it focuses on significant school wide issues and overall policies
and educational directions.
School Council meets each term and elections
are held tri-annually in March.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
All parents are invited to be members of P&C. This association provides
a monthly forum for discussion of educational, social and welfare aspects of
the school.
P&C fundraising activities contribute significantly to the school's annual
budget and are an important vehicle for community building.
The Canteen and Clothing Pool are operated by the P&C. Other important
P&C sub committees include Properties, Music, Functions, Traffic and Safety,
Sport, Functions and Communications.
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month from 8.00pm in the
school assembly hall. Elections are held annually in November.
