DONATE-A-BOOK

New books will be on display in the library on OPEN DAY(Week 4, Friday 20th May 2005) for families who would like to donate a book to the school. The child’s name is inscribed on a presentation label in the front of the book. The child is the first to borrow the book, so that the family may enjoy it before it is added to the library. We also add the child's name to the catalogue entry; they enjoy searching for their name.

We have pre-purchased and prepared a number of books, so they will be ready to go. Books are expensive these days, so we've dropped the prices to make it easier. There will be forms for you to fill in so we know how to inscribe the book, (one for each book), with lots of pens, pencils and calculators.

Volunteers are welcome to help receipt books at the busiest time, or stay behind and do name plates.

Cash is preferred please. We no longer process cards.

There will be three main display areas:
  • JUNIOR FICTION – mostly hardbacks, as they last longer.  $20
  • SENIOR FICTION– paperbacks $15, hardbacks $20, including some international award winners.
  • NON-FICTION – mostly hardbacks (better quality, last longer) $20

If you are unable to visit, you may choose to send some money in an envelope with a form so that your child can select a book. If a cheque is essential, please make it payable to NEUTRAL BAY PUBLIC SCHOOL.
To celebrate EDUCATION WEEK
